Fish Report for 3-12-2013
The fish at Oroville Reservoir are in transition, look for the bite to improve as the water warms

Today my tournament partner Jon Bradford and I fished the Anglers Choice pro team tournament at Oroville and fishing was much more difficult then we had hoped. We started the morning fishing some pockets and points in the slot with reaction baits, we managed 2 small keepers on a Ima 120 flit and 1 other small fish on an Alabama rig. With a less then good reaction bite we decided to fish main creek channels in search of fish on the move. We started fishing the guts and points inside Potters ravine with jigs and senkos and got our limit including this 5.59lb Spotted bass that ate a TNT M-80 jig in the Spec Op color. We kept fishing the guts inside of large cove but were unable to land another large fish. The water temps are between 49 and 52 for the most part and the water is very clear of up to about 10' visibility. The fish seem to be in a transition right now and the bite is close to busting loose! Another week of good weather and I believe you will be able to catch fish any way you want. Look for the transition areas the fish are using to prepare for the spawn, their starting to move!
Good luck!!
