Rate Fishing Action by Species
Trout: The sleeper action of the big trout has woken up this last week after a slow showing for the derby last weekend. The fish are ranging from 1-2 lbs with fish up to 7.25 lbs showing, and still bigger fish breaking lines making their presence known. Jose Soria, Pomona, caught a 7.25 lb trout while using spring green power bait off lot #1. Maria Portillo, La Puente, caught a 7.0 lb trout on yellow corn power bait while fishing off lot#8. Aaron Garcia, Fontana, landed a 6.5 lb trout while throwing a smokin' jig in basin #2. Rames Shrinarine, Ontario, landed a 6.5 lb trout off the point at lot #8 while using cheese power bait. Ashley Jimenez, Corona, landed a 5.5 lb trout using a night crawler in basin #1. Kelsey Wendt, Riverside, landed a 5.0 lb trout in basin #2 while soaking a white power mouse with pink power bait. Ernie Garcia, La Puente, caught a 3.5 lb trout while using candy power bait and pink power bait combo in basin#2. Linda Fregeau, Riverside, caught a 3.25 lb trout off the playground point using purple power bait. Top baits have been corn flavored power bait and night crawlers with fish showing on a variety of other baits.

Other: Lake is stocked with 1,000 pounds of trout weekly by the county. California State fishing license is required. Hard bottom boats up to 16 ft are allowed, no gas engines allowed.
