Hello from your Lake Jennings!:
The trout bite on Friday was the best of the season. The rest of the weekend was not so hot. The orange Power Worm either dropshotted or Carolina rigged has emerged as the new preferred bait. The bass are on the move. Males are being caught in the afternoons in 15 to 20 ft. of water. During the mornings it is 40 to 50 ft. of water again on creature baits or dads.

Best Catfish Spots: Anywhere along the dam buoyline
Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally
Best Bass Spots: In the mornings in 40 to 50 ft. of water on the points. Late afternoon the males move up on South facing slopes to 12 to 15 ft. of water.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads and creature baits
Best Trout Spots: The big buoy at the Hermit Cove buoyline.
Best Trout Bait: The bait that catches the most trout is an Orange Power Worm

Prognosis: We will stock another 1000 lbs. of Sierra 'Bows on Tuesday Feb.19, 2013. The water temp is 58 and is ideal for active trout. Don't stop fishing for cats because the water is cold. Just fish deep!

Water Temperature: 58 degrees on surface.
