The trout are on the bite at Lake Morena & a nice Blue Cat was also caught

Lake Morena Staff
Lake Conditions: Surface temperature is 50.5 and 50.0 @ 20ft.
Water Clarity: Water visibility is at about 2' to 3'.
** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in the Lake Morena area so be sure you acquire one before you arrive. The State Licenses is required.
Trout:
It was a terrific weekend for the fishermen. Then the winds came up. Lenard Dolezal, Santee, limited with inflated nightcrawlers up close to shore in Paradise cove while his friend David Swanson, Chula Vista, came through with three trout and a Blue catfish with the same rigging. Then we have Mathew Delgado from Campo fooling a few rainbows with green powerbait on the shore at Geezer cove.
Bass: No Bass reported this week
Catfish: A surprise catch of a Blue Cat weighing in at 3 lb 15 oz was made by David Swanson, pictured with inflated worms in Paradise cove while fishing for trout.
Blue Gill: A No Pan fish were reported this week.
Crappie: The crappie bite has slowed up to zip.
Carp: These fish are saving themselves for another time.
