BASS
Anglers had a tough time finding Bass this week. Fishing points and steep banks typically produce bass. The Carolina rig, the drop shot, spoons, swimbaits, and ice jigs should get some great fish. Brush Hogs and reapers work well for the Carolina rig. Margarita mutilator, oxblood and bold bluegill finesse worms work for the drop shot.

STRIPER
Stripers are not being seen again. Try using swimbaits in rainbow pattern or go for some anchovies or sardines and hit the outskirts of the marina.

CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp.

TROUT
DVL had another great week of trout catching! Rainbows have been coming in from people using mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms. Chris Mora, pictured above from Hemet caught a 7.49lb trout using mini jigs off the shoreline. Shara and Robert Poveromo, Photo #4 from San Jacinto both caught trout with a total weight of 12.42 pounds. 13 year old Ryan Vinci, Photo #5 from Temecula caught a 4.17 pound trout on mini jigs. 4 year old Bryce Roble, Photo #1 from Hemet caught a 4.98lb trout on a Thomas Bouyant. Gabriel Chavez, Adrian Contreras, Cynthia Flores, and David Peterson, Photo #2 all from Riverside caught a stringer full of beautiful trout using pee wee baits. Javier DeLeon, Photo #3 from Redlands caught a 4.20lb trout using a spoon.

PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been missing in action. Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
