BASS
Anglers had better luck this week with catching bass. Fishing points and steep banks all over the lake scraped up a few bass this week. The Carolina rig, the drop shot, spoons, swimbaits, and ice jigs are still getting some great fish. Brush Hogs and reapers worked well for the Carolina rig. Margarita mutilator, oxblood and bold bluegill finesse worms worked for the drop shot.

STRIPER
Stripers are on their way back! We have seen a few boils throughout the lake. They have been attacking the mackerel and anchovies again! Steve Chatwood, pictured above from Yucaipa caught a 23.18 pounder using a slide swimmer.

CATFISH
There was one catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp. Chou Thao, Photo #1 from Cherry Valley caught a 27.80 pound blue cat using sardines by floating restroom #1.

TROUT DVL had another great week of trout catching! Browns are being caught with nightcrawlers. Rainbows have been coming in from people using mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms. Ten year old Haley Morton, Photo #2 caught a nice 6.32 pound trout on mini jigs off the shore. Naida Israelson, Photo #3 caught her first fish ever weighing in at 2.35 pounds using nightcrawlers on the shore. Lane and Nick Hoffarth and Gabe Seroope, Photo #4 caught trout using trout worms with their bag weighing in at 15.80 lbs.

PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been missing in action. Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
