Water Conditions: Water level is average and stream section flows vary from day to day.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Water is cold so the rule of thumb is "Deep dark and slow" The area right below the stream section has produced some nice ones.
Recommended Flies:
DRIES: Kaufaman Stimulator #16, Beetle #18, Shimazake CDC Ant #16-#18
NYMPHS: Copper John #16-#18, Prince Nymph #18, Hares Ear #16-#18, Rainbow Warrior #18-#20, Red/Black Zebra Midges #18
STREAMERS: Docs Twin Lakes Special, Olive Matuka #10, Flahabou Buggers Olive, Rickards Seal Bugger

for Monday, January 7th, 2013Owens River: There are phenomenal reports about the fishing on the Lower Owens
Hot Creek: Fishing at Hot Creek dontinues to be good but the bite window is short 11 to 2
Owens River: There are still some Crowley fish in the Upper Owens but that number is getting smaller by the day
Owens River: Not many hatches in the Owens River Gorge but the fish are still biting
Owens River: Fishing on the Lower Owens is wide open
East Walker River (CA): Fishing is reportedly good on the East Walker but there is lots of snow

for Monday, December 24th, 2012Hot Creek: Fishing is good at Hot Creek, but the bite window is only from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Owens River: There are still some large Crowley fihs being caught in the Upper Owens
Owens River: In the middle of the day fish on the Owens River Gorge are active but there are not many hatches
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: Water at Pleasant Valley Reservoir is cold so the rule of thumb is "Deep, Dark & Slow"
Owens River: On the Lower Oeens fishing is good. Fish midges early & if it gets cold try Baetis
East Walker River (CA): The flows are still not high enough on the East Walker to improve fishing
