Royal Polaris wrap up to their recent trip
12-21-2012
Bill Roecker
The report from Royal Polaris says, "We are enjoying a beautiful ride so far to Cabo where about half of us including myself, will fly home. Back to dry land and the no doubt frigid Midwest will be both a culture and thermal shock I'm sure. Today's been a busy day of breaking down and cleaning tackle, packing up the stateroom, and figuring out what you're going to do with all the fish you caught. This will be my final report (at least until the Feb. Accurate trip when I'll be returning) and I want to make sure to use this opportunity to thank Izorline for the cool give-aways, free high poundage line and the T-shirts. As always they were very good hosts.
"I would be horribly negligent if I also didn't thank and praise the always hard working, ultra professional crew. They seem to always be at your side when your pulling on a fish, crossing over or under the anchor rope, working out a reel backlash, or heaven forbid get you out of a tangle (which virtually never happens!) Also have to add special thanks to our Capt., Roy. I know he's human, so there must be days that he's not feeling 100%, maybe a little down about something or other or generally in a bad mood. He must keep it all on the inside, because he's constantly laughing, congenial, and literally brimming over with enthusiasm. Always!"
Royal Polaris will arrive at Fisherman's Landing December 23, Sunday.
