Crowley fish have moved into the Upeer Owens

The Trout Fitter Staff
Water Conditions: Good as of 12/9 the flows are consistent at about 83 cfs. No snow on ground and easy access with no 4X4 but some puddles, as in carwash.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good with flows back to nice levels the fishing has improved. Some nice chunky Crowley fish have moved up into the system.

DRIES: Parachute Adams #18, Brooks Sprout Baetis #18, CDC Baetis Emerger #18-#20, Kaufman Stimulator #18
NYMPHS: Prince Nymph #16-#18, Copper John #18, Birds Nest Olive #16-#18, San Juan Worm, Tung. Psycho #18, Hogans S&M Nymph #18, PT Cruser #18, Superflash PT #18, Micromay Olive #16-#18, Zebra Midge #18, Copper Tiger Midge ##18-#20, WD-40 Olive #18-#20
STREAMERS: Punk Perch, Perfection Perch, Docs Twin Lakes Special, Mohair Leech
Guide's Hint: Pull streamers downstream along undercuts.

for Monday, December 10th, 2012Hot Creek: Midge hatch in the morning and Baetis thoughout the day at Hot Creek
Owens River: Owens River Gorge fishing is excellent, no snakes or nettles & lots of fish
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: Water is cold so the rule of thumb at Pleasant Valley Reservoir is "deep dark and slow"
Owens River: Excellent fishing on the Lower Owens, fish midges early until the sun hits the water then Baetis
East Walker River (CA): The East Walker has a better catch rate than typical for this time of year

Owens River: The flows are high on the Upper Owens so use sink tip lines
Owens River: Excellent fishing on the Lower Owens
East Walker River (CA): The flows are really too low on the East Walker to make for good fishing
