Tyler (8 yr old) gets to take catching a Sturgeon off his bucket list

Fellow Sportsmen,
Well the weather this past week has made it tough to get out. So we rescheduled or canceled trips during these storms. The weather finally broke and we made it out yesterday. I had a private charter that included 2 adults and one 8-year-old boy. The goal of this trip was to get the 8-year-old boy Tyler a sturgeon as it was at the top of his bucket list. I was informed everything we caught would be released. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The tides were just light but we landed about a dozen bass and four sturgeon. Most of the fish were short and everything was released. Tyler got to take the sturgeon off his bucket list as he landed 3 Sturgeon. I did not notice much change in the fishing conditions due to all the water from the last few storms but I believe it's coming after talking to other fishermen up River. There is a lot of debris on the surface. Water temperature barely changed maybe a quarter of a degree. The tides are great through next week and a half. The tides are not as important with all the fresh water coming down. I will be looking at some of the deep water during the slower tides. I am fishing every day through the next series of good tides depending on whether. There are a lot of open loads and most of them have some room. With theses conditions it should be very very good.
Enjoy Tyler's photo.
