Qualifier Crew

GOOD AFTERNOON FROM THE BRIDGE OF THE QUALIFIER 105. WE ARE TRAVELING UP FROM THE CEDROS / BENITOS ISLAND CHAIN WITH BEAUTIFUL CALM SEAS AND A LIGHT OVERCAST. FINISHED FISHING FOR YELLOWTAIL AT 10:00 AM AND WE LEFT THEM BITING SO THAT WE CAN GET UP TO THE ALBACORE GROUNDS TOMORROW MORNING AROUND 9:00 AM. IT IS HARD TO BEAT THAT YELLOWTAIL FISHING, DRIFTING OR ANCHORED ON FLAT CALM WATERS IN THE LEE OF AND ISLAND, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GRADE OF THE YELLOWTAIL IS CONSERVATIVELY 25 TO 30 POUNDS.

WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING AROUND AS WE TRAVEL AND OTHER THAN BAIT, PORPOISE AND WHALES WE HAVE NOT SEEN A THING. EVERYONE IS LOUNGING AROUND THE BOAT, READING, SLEEPING OR SHOOTINJG THE BREEZE WITH A FRIEND SEEMS TO BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY. NOT TO BAD OF A WAY TO SPEND SOME TIME. LOOKING FORWARD TOMORROW AND HOPING THAT WE THE ALBIES ON THE RIGHT DAY. DINNER TONIGHT IS A SEAFOOD PASTA DISH, MORE SEAFOOD THAN PASTA. WISH US LUCK TOMORROW.
