Fishing on the Upper Owens is good but the water is a little off color

Water Conditions: Good as of 10/17 the flows are up at 130fs. Tons of Mud Snails so clean your gear before you wade somewhere else!
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good but water is now being diverted from Grant lake and has raised flows on the upper Ownes for the first time all summer. Water is slightly off color, so stick to brighter patterns.
Section below the bridge to the monument closed as of October 1st.
Still sticking to the usual fare. Worms, eggs and pheasant tails under the indicator in the slow deep water with plenty of weight.

Hot Creek: Scuds & Caddis are working best at Hot Creek, in the late afternoon try mayflies

East Walker River (CA): At Bridgeport Res use mayfly patterns in the AM & terrestrials in the early evening

for Thursday, October 11th, 2012Mammoth Lakes : Fishing is very good in the Mammoth Lakes area
Hot Creek: Hot Creek is fishing better in the late mornings & mid-afternoons
San Joaquin River: The San Joaquin water levels are,low making the fishing more technical
Crowley Lake: Fishing is still good at Crowley, but the fish are more spread out
Owens River: The action at the Upper Owens is definitely picking up
Owens River: Not much change at the Owens River Gorge
Rock Creek - Section 1: Fish the lakes along the way to Rock Creek
Rush Creek: Rush Creek is fishing best above the 395 in the afternoons
Owens River: The flows are back up on the Lower Owens, but the fishing is good if you can find some slow water
Bridgeport Reservoir: The weeds at Bridgeport is making the fishing more difficult
East Walker River (CA): Fishing on the East Walker is OK, the flows are down and the water has some algae
