"We had pretty good fishing first thing this morning for yellowtail," said the report for October 9. "When the yellows stopped biting, we put the trolling lures out and started looking for yellowfin tuna and dorado. We had moderate success with the dorado with everyone had an opportunity to catch a nice-size dorado. I think everyone landed a nice one. Pictured is Bill Lynch with a sample of the dorado."

The next day Searcher's report said, "We finished our trip today looking for yellowfin tuna. We had just a few jigstikes and baitfish today. We had hoped for some more action but it was a long time between stops, with choppy conditions in the morning and then calm seas for the ride home. We are grateful for that. Great group of people, lots of fun was had by all. The crew and I are still getting used to only having 14 people aboard. When you are stopped and fishing, you still say to yourself "Where is everybody?" and the whole group is on deck! These trips are relaxed and low key. If you haven't tried one of these ultra limited load trips I would recommend it. There is really a lot of room on deck and throughout the boat. Looking forward to the next one."
