Even the full moon does not slow down the fishing at Puerto Morelos

Even the full moon doesn't slow the fishing down from Puerto Morelos and the overall report reflects pretty good results for the 18 days fished, producing a 9 fish species in the catch report. The skippers reported 1 sailfish, 17 dorado, 30 bonito, 8 Spanish mackerel, 14 giant Atlantic barracuda, 17 snappers, 3 grouper 2 triggerfish and 11 soapfish.

PM Climate: Mostly cloudy throughout the area with temps ranging from 71 nights to 90 daytime highs and occasional showers predicted for the next several days.

Sea Conditions: Sea temps and clarity are excellent and stable at 85-86 degrees. Mostly light & variable surface breezes from the easterly directions in the 5-10 mph ranges.

Best Bait: Continues to be the ever-available ballyhoo, caught fresh on a daily basis and seemingly unhampered by the full moon phase.
