"We departed yesterday on our Ken Bush and Miles Callison Tuna Chasers trip," wrote Intrepid skipper Kevin Osborne September 26, "with nice weather, a great bunch of friends, and a fair load of sardine. With the big storm down below we opted to head out west and explore some new water today. There hasn't been anyone as far west as we made it today; our target was Albacore or Bluefin Tuna out on the edge of cooler offshore waters and warmer coastal waters. Right out of the gate we caught a handful of very nice Albacore and thought that we may have found something, but that wasn't the case. We worked hard covering lots of great looking water and in the end we put a decent day together of Albacore, Yellow fin, Dorado, and smaller Tails. Pictured are a couple of the chickens we caught and a very nice 40-pound Yellowfin held up by Dave, "I'm sexy and I know it," Taylor for chartermaster Ken Bush. We enjoyed the fun action on Dorado off a few of the many kelps we found in order to find a few that were holding late this evening."
