An unusually slow fishing week for The Aries Sportfishing Fleet that reflected only one single offshore fishing day aboard the "Aries II", with Captain Victor Nunez and his charter group, landing one sailfish for the day. The inshore fishing aboard the super pangas was apparently the way to go this past week and reflected a total of four fishing days that resulted in 1 sailfish, 11 dorado, 3 corvina, (to 15 lbs.) and 2 red snapper.

Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy days with possible PM & night showers projected. Temps ranged from 74 nights to 90 daytime highs and light surface breezes.

Sea Conditions: Mostly a calm week with light tropical surface breezes in the 5-10 mph ranges. Sea temps were stable in the 85-86 degree ranges and the water clarity is near perfect in the offshore waters.

Best Lure/Bait: Both billfish were taken on rigged trolling baits. Dorado were liking the Rapala deep running lures as well as live bait.

Bait Supply: Continues to be very good on a daily basis fort the Aries Fleet sportfishers, with both, live bait and fresh caught rigging baits.
