Channel Islands Sportfishing
With warm water everywhere, the fish are getting restless around the Channel Islands. The Mirage was on an overnight outer island trip searching the shallows in the morning for seabass and halibut. They managed 2 white seabass and 3 nice flat fish to go along with their limits of cod and solid ocean whitefish counts. The Island Tak, Sea Jay, Cobra and Aloha Spirit were on full day trips today also hitting the shallows hard. The Island Tak scored 4 nice flat fish while the Sea Jay put a couple seabass on the boat. The Aloha Spirit had fun with some nice grumpy sand bass today and the Cobra experienced some solid shallow water cod fishing, The Erna B and Gentleman were on a ¾ day bottom water fishing mission filling sacks with quality cod, lingcod and ocean whitefish. Overall the fishing is still doing well, can’t wait to see what the warm water brings to us next. The Pacific Islander has a limited load 2-day trip leaving Monday night fishing Tuesday and Wednesday. There is still some spots left, call the landing today to book your spot or simply reserve online. Now LETS GO FISHING!
