With water temps in the high sixties and low seventies, summer fishing action is wild. Options include: 1) thresher shark along the coast where the water is just right for the tasty longtails. 2) calico bass at the coastal and island kelp spots and around the boiler rocks at the Channel Islands. 3) white seabass both along the coast and at the islands. 4) yellowtail at the islands. 5) halibut near shore and in the coves and bays at the islands. 6) barracuda throughout the area. 7) the best rockcod and lingcod fishing in SoCal. Those are better than a half dozen great reasons to go fishing!
