Captain Gerry called in with this report for the Doble and Reel Sportfishing, "The fishing spread out a little bit. We went west of Santa Cruz about 7 miles, we ended up there pretty much all by ourselves. We didn't see any of the whales and birds that we had seen in the last few days. But we put them in anyway and sure enough, it took us a couple hours but we managed to put in 8 Salmon up to 18 lbs. We had a couple of small ones too. Then a soon as the sun came out the bite just died.

"So we moved down to the west side of the Soquel Hole. We fooled around for almost 2 hours and we were about ready to pull the plug. When we had a double hook-up just before we were ready to leave. So we managed to get 10 fish for my 5 customers. Which gave everybody limits and they all went home happy." "I've got some openings next week, if you want to give me a call.
