Gerry Brooks called in to let us know how the Doble from Reel Sportfishing did Salmon fishing, "Just when I thought the fishing couldn't get any better -- It Did! We put in 10 Salmon up to 22 lbs. by 7:30 this morning. The fishing was just 'On Fire'. The krill, the whales, the Dolphin and the Salmon were just going crazy. And we got limits for 5 passengers by 7:30 AM. We hung around a little longer and let them catch limits for my deck hand and myself. We went back in, cleaned the fish and there were some people watching that wanted to go out. So we took out a second trip. We hooked 4 fish and put one of them in the boat. So we lost 3 of them. One of them, they tightened up the drag so high it broke the line. It was a big fish.

"So anyway the fishing in the morning is great out there. This is definitely a morning bite. If you are going to fish out of Santa Cruz, get out at daybreak. All the krill, all the whales and all the Salmon are right on the surface first thing in the morning. So anyway I have some other things I need to do tomorrow but I'll be out on Tuesday."
