Pacific Dawn Exotics or Bust Charter
7-8-2012
Homan Khaki
Our recent SFR Charter aboard the Pacific Dawn out of Ventura Sportfishing was a blast. With all of the recent scores of White Seabass and Halibut in the counts, there was only one thing on our minds, EXOTICS! The consensus for this trip was exotics or bust. We weren't about to settle for anything less and we knew of the assessed risks associated with such a decision. It was the perfect group of anglers for this type of charter. The morning kicked off with our very own Chad Woods quickly lassoing a White Seabass to the boat. A round of high fives and a couple of pictures later, we all remained focus on the goal. We fished hard and everyone remained persistent. Captain Mike Riddell searched far and wide for these fish. Everyone put in a solid effort and before day's end we boarded a couple of nice flatties. A limit of SFR T-Shirts and a good time was had by all. The Pacific Dawn is going to be sliding down south to get in on the tuna fishing towards the end of the month. Checkout their schedule and get in on the action. We have a couple SFR 2-day charters on the books and we're eagerly looking forward to these trips. A special thanks to the Crew of the Pacific Dawn as well as the anglers onboard who made this another memorable trip. It was good to see our regulars and the kids who are no longer kids anymore!
