Good morning Anglers,

Here's the weekend's bait report.....................

The Newport Bait barge is loaded with live squid and has three wells of cured sardines.

San Pedro is loaded with live squid, medium size anchovies and one well of sardines as of now.

As far as conditions, we've had a nice south east breeze the past week which has moved out the cold and off color water on the local scene. Temps are up and the color is beautiful. Bass, barracuda and scattered sea bass are responding well to this improvement along most of the usual coastal spots. Island fishing remains steady on calico bass and hit and miss on seabass and yellows.

The Newport Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 79 on the VHF or call direct 310-461-5370 or direct connect 124*68731*2.

The San Pedro Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 11 on the VHF or call direct 310-365-2516.

Good luck and good fishing!!
