Live squid available from San Pedro Bait

6-15-2012
Todd Phillips

The Pamela Rose delivered live squid to the San Pedro barge this morning and is currently en route to Newport with live squid as well. Both locations have a beautiful mix of small to large anchovies and cured sardines. The current bait situation should be the case throughout the weekend.

Fishing has been very good lately along the entire Southern California coast. Barracuda have been hitting on a daily basis from the Horseshoe kelp to the Izors reef area as well as bass on most of the local spots this week. Big seabass scattered up and down the coast and Catalina produced some good numbers of seabass and scattered yellowtail too. Bass fishing on the front side of the island was great this week as well.

The Newport Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 79 on the VHF or call direct 310-461-5370 or direct connect 124*68731*2.

The San Pedro Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 11 on the VHF or call direct 310-365-2516
.
Good luck and good fishing!!
