The Pamela Rose is heading back out tonight to top the barges off for the weekend. Newport has some killer cured sardines that have been in the barge for a month, as well as large anchovies. San Pedro has large anchovies and sardines as well.

As far as fishing goes, some highlights of the past two weeks has been the good numbers of "coastal tanker" seabass caught up and down the coast on bird/anchovy schools as well as the squid beds of San Onofre. The majority of the fish have been between forty to sixty pounds and mostly taken on live squid. There has been fish caught from Huntington Beach to La Jolla. Also, the barracuda have moved in and bit yesterday and is wide open again this just below Izors reef. I would not be surprised to see some numbers of "tankers" taken from this area in the near future as well.

The Newport Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 79 on the VHF or call direct 310-461-5370 or direct connect 124*68731*2.

The San Pedro Barge is open 24/7 and can be reached on Ch 11 on the VHF or call direct 310-365-2516.

Good luck and good fishing!!
