Trout: The aerator in the lake (@ Pumphouse cove) serves many functions concerning the health of the lake. But one by-product for us anglers is happily the trout love to congregate around all that turbulence. Tom Bossard and John Brennan are a few of the guys that take advantage of the weekday operation of the aerator. Both limited and said they are very lively. Justin Rotge from Campo had quite a day as you'll see down the page. He managed a trout, a 3 lb 12 oz cat and a 12 oz. bluegill.
Bass: The Bass were found hiding in the brush. Kevin Mattson and his pals caught and released several over 6 lbs. in Pumphouse cove using different colored plastics. Alec Yarayan fooled a nice bass at Paradise cove with a nightcrawlers.
Catfish: Plenty of Catfish this week. Freddie Bevelyn and his two Friends from San Diego each limited with an average of 2 lbs each fish. Jessie Stull from San Diego came back with a 2 lb 4 ozer with nightcrawlers at Paradise cove.
Blue Gill: Copious amounts of blue gill were being pulled out near Cabin cove. Justin Rotge was again making news with a ? lb. bluegill. Ryan McDaniel from Lakeside brought in ten bluegill and two cats and a trout.
Crappie: The mystery of the missing crappie has been solved thanks to several boaters one being Jim Hill. They've retreated to deeper waters meaning trolling the middle of the lake can enhance your chances of hooking a few of the delicious morsels.
Carp: These overgrown gold fish continue to surprise the folks rigged for cats or bass with their amazing strength and tenacity. Great fun.
