Fellow Sportsmen,
Well folks things are changing for the better. The last 3 days the ocean has cooperated and we made it up the coast. We landed some of the biggest rockfish I've seen in a while. The lingcod are just about the same as last year, up to 12 pounds. But the rockfish are much larger than last year, 3 to 4 pound pigs. I measured a black yesterday that when 4 1/2 pounds. The halibut are starting to come back due to the slower tides backed off winds and the water clearing. I have reports of some halibut caught today. We will be looking for halibut tomorrow. The salmon bite blew up 2 days ago with boats coming in with early limits. They are still quite a ways out at W buoy but now within a reasonable range. I will make a run for the salmon very soon. I just posted a lot of photos on the album page. Some beautiful lingcod and rockfish, take a look. You will find them on the summer album 2012 on the Photo page. Everything is looking up for fishing except for the amount of space I have available. June is pretty much booked up solid except for Friday the 22nd Friday the 29th and I have some space on Monday the 18th everything else is full. Enjoy the photos.

6-4-2012Fellow Sportsmen, The ocean has been too rough the past few days and the bay has been very difficult. The bay has been basically just scratch fishing; you're lucky to get a couple halibut during a trip. Sometimes a bass shows up but it's tough. We have another set of decent tides coming very soon and the bait keeps coming into the bay so things should pick up. I made our 1st ocean trip yesterday as the ocean decided to be...... Read More

Fellow Sportsmen, Well overall it has been a tough week fishing. We do have live now. Live anchovies are actually very very nice. And throughout the week we have been seeing more and more may come into the bay. Early on in the week it was a real struggle to find any halibut or bass that wanted to bite. We would work at it for a while and then move over to shark fishing. In fact I hate to say it...... Read More
