Despite strong gusty winds and unseasonably cool temperatures the striped bass bite remains very consistent! We're still averaging 10 keepers per day. The 3 to 5 lbs. bass, favorite menu has been shad, anchovies and herring marinated in Pro Cure scent. However, we have had some take downs on flukes and Castaic swimbait.
The main portion of the lake in sight of the boat ramp is the best area to try. Look for most fish to be in the 15 to 30 feet depths. Lake surface temperature dropped this week to 72 degrees.
