Striper action at New Hogan is very good
5-14-2012
Bruce Hamby
Striper action remains very good! This weeks clients enjoyed catching 7 to 10 fish per day, most in the 3 to 5 lb. class. Early morning to 10 am has been best bite time, but slows down fairly fast after that. The striped bass are holding in the deeper areas of the lake suspended at 25 feet deep. Expect 99 percent males as the spawn season continues. Rolling bait such as shad, anchovies and herring has worked well. As always, we use lots of Pro Cure bait scent to trigger more strikes. Lake water temperatures 70 degrees.
