Fish Report for 5-21-2012
Some really nice Stripers were caught this week at Lake Del Valle

Del Valle Marina
Marina Hours: 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Park Hours: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Last Plant: On May 15 we planted 20,000 Kokanee Salmon from DF&G, on May 16th 15,000 chinook Salmon were planted from DF&G, on May 14th 750 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout were planted. Water Temperature: The water temperature is 69 degrees at the boat launch, while the temperature in Swallow Bay and Heron Bay is closer to 67 degrees.
Anglers are pulling in trout limits usong an assortment of baits. PowerBait colors in White, Chartreuse, Rainbow and Spring Green followed by PowerBait 3" Floating Worms in White, Chartreuse, Pink Shad, Bubblegum, Fluorescent Orange, Cheese or Yellow/Orange used with or without PowerBait with or without trout attractant. Berkley Gulp 2.5" Trout Worms in White, Chatrtreuse, Bubblegum or Fluorescent orange are popular too. Stripers are being pulled in with anchovies. Kastmasters, Rapalas senkos, spinners and crank baits are dominating in lures for pulling the bass off their beds. We have seen some nice catfish pulled in also.
