Royal Polaris Crew
REALLY? (050512) Hi RP Followers,
Today was another great day, really great day. The morning started off with Susan Beck scoring the first fish over 200 for the day at 202lbs in the dark. We scratched fish until early afternoon when the big fish rolled in. We had several fish over 200lbs when the 2nd tank reached it's max. Gary Cotter had big fish honors with a 235lb tuna (it required several of the crew to wedge it into the RSW tank). RickTyrerlanded his 2nd fish over 200 with a 222, Mike Hieshima had a 218lbers and was hosed off for being such bad reporter. Peter Lorman had a PB(personnel best) of 193lbs. Several others were landed in the 150-185lb range. Of additional note, Bill Golder is leading the Rollo Wahoo jackpot with a 70lbers caught today. We cut off a ton of nice fish and kept only the big ones...
The group is having a great time and we have come together like a group of old friends. Cheering for fish and fisherman happens regularly and the slow times are filled with joke telling, laughter and fun including performances on the bait tank comedy club by Roy Rose Jr. It has already been a phenomenal trip and we still have 3 more days of fishing...
It seems that being nicer to Little Frank paid off today in positive Karma. In order to continue our good fortune, I wanted to let the followers know of how supportive Big Frank has been thru my recovery from medical issues in October. He called regularly, sent texts and emailed throughout my rehab from a stroke. He and the Royal Polaris were of my greatest motivations to get back to health...
Late breaking entertainment news is that we are currently chasing down a large bronze whaler shark (at least 600lbs) hooked by Frank Fink that he has been battling for an hour. However, it is somewhat unfair as Roy is narrating as only he can do and making everyone laugh so hard that it is making it difficult for Frank to wind...
We are about to sit down to the world famous all you can eat sushi, sashimi, poki buffet prepared by Master Japanese chefs Mutsuhito Sardina and Jim Nobu. Eat your hearts out...
Following dinner, we have some serious re-rigging to do and more than a few anglers may stay up for a little night fishing...
So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
