Trout: Weather permitting the catch has been excellent. Shoreline action is happening at Geezer cove. Cindy Olson from San Diego pulled in a few using nightcrawlers. And Tom Deane was working the same cove with silver rapalas fooling another 4l b-er. D.J. and his Father Dave Shields (in main Photo) from Bonita both limited with a total weight of 18lbs.

Bass: Bass season is here! Almost anywhere along the shore guys are picking up 4 to 10 lb large mouth. Brian Scott from Campo managed 9 bass in less than 2 hours. He was using Shorty Rapalas. Dave Shields was busy also fooling 2 bass on nightcrawlers. All of the above were caught and released. Hurray!

Catfish: The cats have been taking the bait in Cabin cove. Augustin Cabrera from Sylmar, Ca. plucked two cats with nightcrawlers.

Carp: Still splashing, they like corn and corn meal balls.

Blue Gill: None reported this week.

Crappie: There many reports of catch and release crappie this week as they all appear to be loaded with eggs. Some great sportsmen out there. We can wait 'til they've unloaded, right? The coves are warming and that's where the crappie are being caught. Any kind of crank bait that's silver will work for you.
