Some Qucik Notes on Long Range Activity

Today is interesting and unusual in that both reporting long rangers are fishing for inshore species: Intrepid in Panama, and Royal Polaris at Clipperton Atoll. At the atoll most of the fish seemed to be wahoo, jacks and leatherback or snowy grouper.

Off the coast of Panama, jacks and snapper are biting. Both the big boats are making use of skiffs to give anglers a shot at the exotics.

Independence left Wednesday on a 16-day trip into southern waters, heading for the Hurricane Bank and Clarion, presumably, and today the Excel is scheduled to depart on a similar trip, the annual Big Fish trip with Ralph Mikkelsen. Royal Star will head out on an eight-day adventure Saturday. Good luck to all!

Sunday is the big day for San Diego Sportfishing. Don't miss Day At The Docks! Bring the whole family, have a great time, and enjoy a wonderful day in the parking lots for Fisherman's Landing, Pt. Loma Sportfishing H&M Landing and Lee Palm Sportfishers, brought to you for over three decades by the San Diego Sportfishing Council and the Port of San Diego.
