The forecast calls for clearing to partially cloudy on the weekend, warming temperatures clearing skies by mid-week.

Lake level has remained at approximately 3 feet below spill. EBMUD is generating and releasing water to fill Camanche Reservoir. Visibility has degraded somewhat with the runoff from the storms and is presently good to 12 feet as measured in the Marina. Water temperatures have also remained about the same and are currently 50 degrees at the 20 foot mark and 55 at surface.

Trollers on the Lake (weather permitting) have been concentrating upriver near Twin Coves, Deer Island and Columbia Gulch. Fishing has been good in those areas during the week. The Trout and Kokanee remain close to the surface at this time; keep your equipment in the 10 to 25 feet level. Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger behind a medium dodger tipped with corn or night crawler has been red hot for Kokanee. Kokanee to 15 inches were caught earlier this week in upriver locations. Trout have also been active upriver taking Uncle Larry's with crawlers. It has been very quiet on the Lake today due to the continuing storm conditions, few trailers in the parking lot.

A few hard core anglers were working the banks in the Recreation Area this morning. Rainbow Point the shore behind the EBMUD boathouse the launch ramp and Porcupine Point were the most populated. Bank fishing has been decent throughout the week. Garlic flavored Power bait and eggs in yellow and chartreuse remain the most successful bait along with the Pistol Pete fly at the end of a 4ft leader behind a water bobber.

No further info about the Woodpile lately.

Recent success stories: Marshall Cova of Jackson nailed this 4.42 lb. Rainbow in the River Arm trolling a night crawler behind a dodger. Joni Miller, of Galt landed this Rainbow bait fishing with garlic power bait at Deer Island. Congratulations to all-well done!!!

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted 14,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 19,000 lbs. Another 2000 lb. plant is scheduled for today
