Lake Morena Fish Report, April 6, 2012

Lake Morena Staff

Lake Conditions: Surface temp. warming to 59.6 and 53.8 @ 20 ft.
Water Visibility: Is still clearing to 3' to 5'

. ** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in Lake Morena so be sure you acquire one before you arrive.

Trout: Many boaters are telling me they are trolling the middle with success. But the majority of catches are still coming from Paradise cove and Geezer cove. Leonard Dolezal,pictured from Santuckey fooled his 9lb 2oz rainbow with Power bait in Paradise cove.

Bass: The bass are beginning to move about the lake. Several 'Catch and Release' bass were reported this week.

Catfish: The cats have been taking the bait, mostly night crawlers near the shore.

Carp: Still splashing, they like corn and corn meal balls

Blue Gill: No action on the Blue Gill here lately.

Crappie: No sign of Crappie this time of year.
