Trout Planting Information: 27,500lbs of rainbow trout have been stocked since Nov 16th. 2,000lbs of trout will be stocked EVERY Tuesday! More trout stocked per acre than ANY other lake in O.C! STOCKING DOZENS OF DOUBLE DIGIT TROUT EVERY WEEK!

Fish of the week goes to Herb Baker of Fountain Valley, pictured above with a 14 lb 08 oz trout that was caught on white power bait off the shoreline in Zone 1. Tim Morlan in photo #1 of Anaheim weighed in a 11 lb 01 oz trout soaking rainbow power bait off the shoreline in Zone 3. David Kobayashi in photo #2 of Torrance topped off his 5 fish limit with a 9 lb 09 oz trout that was caught on a night crawler/rainbow power bait combo off the shoreline in Zone 3. Ryan Okamoto of Gardena caught a 8lb trout soaking an inflated night crawler in Zone 3. Diego Gamboa of Hacienda Heights weighed in a 8lb trout jigging a Trout King worm in the flats off a boat. 14 trout in the 5 lb to 7 lb class were also weighed in last week.

Rain last week triggered an awesome bite on night crawlers and Bite On garlic scent. Color of the week was white for Berkely's Power Bait but all colors were producing trout. Trout fishing continues to be 'wide open' the first couple days after a stocking with 5 fish limits being the norm for most fisherman. Fishing continues to be good through the weekend due to the heavy stockings of trout the past 9 weeks. Trout still hitting the crank baits with the 'Mirror Shad' working best. Fly fisherman continue to hammer fish in the flats using bead head midges in black and red patterns. Water temp is currently 54 degrees with 6' - 8' visibility.
