We have had a great morning already today here on the 23-fathom bank. We started before daylight with excellent dorado fishing and some nice grade yellowtail as well. Everyone got all the dorado they needed. Lots and lots of fun was had by all. We also have great weather and almost calm seas. Our plan is to spend some time trolling this morning for wahoo hoping things have changed and a few wahoo have moved in.
We had two wahoo hooked and only landed one. It was a dandy, We think it weighs in the 60 to 65-pound range. Tim James from Westminister was the lucky angler to land that fish. We tried a few other spots and released some more dorado and yellowtail and decided to travel back up to the 13 Fathom Bank and see if the small tuna were still there. We landed a few and so we are staying the night and we are going to try for some more tuna. We plan to leave around noon and start heading north."
