Fish Report for 6-27-2011
Coral Seabass
6-27-2011
Frank Ursitti - Ranger 85
Good Monday morning anglers.
The past few days has be some of the best fishing we have seen here in the Northern Channel Islands.
White Seabass continue to steal the show as boats both locally and on the outer waters continue to SCORE BIG.
This past Friday, the Coral Sea with 10 anglers onboard landed 12 Seabass and 5 halibut on a 4am open trip.
Over the weekend, the guys were offshore fishing both San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands.
On Saturday's private charter, the group managed LIMITS of quality rockfish under adverse conditions at legendary San Miguel.
Sunday, our open party group, limited to just 19 anglers, decided to target the elusive gray ghost.
While it wasn't our day to shine, we ended up with 6 seabass and LIMITS of QUALITY Channel Islands rockfish.
We fished seabass till noon. Several other boats in the area scored with 20 plus croaker per boat. There remains good sign of seabass and squid around, and the Coral Sea has extended our stay before heading south to San Diego as a result.
We have several open party dates with availability as well as prime charter opportunity.
Don't miss out on what has been one of the best late spring, early summer bites in years!
