Hello Anglers,
Another day of beautiful weather has been blessed upon us. Along with it came a spectacular day of albacore fishing for our anglers. We had steady fishing all day with stops being on breaking fish, jig strikes, and spots of jumpers. The grade of fish was mixed up with some stops producing alot of 18 to 25 pound fish and some with 14 to 18 pound fish with an occasional 30 pound fish mixed in. When we did get stopped on albacore they would boil around the boat good and they did not mind biting the heavier gear at times when they were really frisky. Just about every stop we had a few Bluefin come under the boat but through out the day we only landed 2 smaller fish, 18 and 30 pounds. We did see a couple of spots of bluefin around but could not entice them to bite either.A very good day of fishing with good weather to go with it. Tomorrow is our last day and we will only be able to fish until 1130. The picture below is of Hank Concha who caught this nice yellowtail in the middle of a albacore stop. Reported by: Shawn Steward
