Hello Anglers,
Welcome to day 4 of the trip, and one more day at the rocks. This morning started off right, at 0600 we started to see sign of fish around the boat. With a nice spot of Yellowfin hanging around the boat and quality Yellowtail willing to bite a fly lined bait we kept pretty busy. With steady action on the Yellowtail we managed to land 68 fish, most of which were in the 25 to 30 pound class with a few as big as 40 pounds. The Yellowfin weren't quite as eager to eat a bait with a hook in it, though they did put on a constant show throughout the day boiling around the boat. We did manage to land 5 fish in the 55 to 70 pound range, as well as a few UN intentional releases. Also in the mix was one errant Dorado that put on a little show for us. We left the Rocks at lunch time with our Fisherman sitting down to a Carne Asada plate prepared by chefs Ed Le Combe and Jason Fleck, we start heading up the line for 2 more days of Albacore fishing. Also I would like to wish a happy birthday to passenger Brian Moran who was able to land one of the Yellowfin as his birthday present.
