Hello Anglers,

We started our trip at Guadalupe Island to see if we could pick up a few big yellowfin before we start down below. We arrived on the spot at 1130 and we saw fair sign of 70 to 120 pound yellowfin on the sonar. When we got the anchor down we had a good show on fish jumping around the boat. They only gave us a couple of samples of themselves until 1600 and then we had a good flurry for 8 yellowfin from 85 to 110 pounds and a few 25 to 35 pound yellowtail to go with it. For the afternoon we landed 12 yellowfin from 80 to 110 pounds and a half a dozen yellowtail from 25 to 35 pounds. Tomorrow we are going to try half a day and see if we can get a few more tuna and then make a decision whether to run down to Cedros or stay here another day.Sorry no pictures, the camera is in the shop. Hello Anglers,

Today we were fishing Cedros Island for yellowtail. The wind gave us a little bit of a hard time but we were able to make a day of it. We fished the south end of the island and we picked up all the yellowtail we needed on one anchor job before we ran up to the north end. The yellowtail were 15 to 22 pounds and we caught them on flylined sardines, jigs, and dropperloop rigs. It was pretty...... Read More
