Monterey Bay Fish Report 06-08-07

Bayside Marine

The Salmon bite was decent for the anglers who fished near the Black Buoy at 36'51/121'52 and 36'50/121'53. There were 3 different boats who came in around 10:00 am to report their limits. The fish were caught trolling 180-200 feet down in 220-240 feet of water. The best bet was to run the Blue Kajikis and the Purple Haze Kajikis. There were a few fish caught on Krippled Anchovies and Watermelon Apexes. The water was flat all morning with some afternoon wind coming up around 12:00. The wind is expected to be lighter Saturday so come give it a try. The fish are mixed grade with some boats catching 20 inch fish and some getting 30 pound fish. The Rockcod fishing was good at the Pajaro Pipeline and in front of Santa Cruz at South Rock. I did not get any reports of Halibut today except a few of Capitola Wharf.

Rockcod fishing is still going good near South Rock. I...... Read More
