Hello Anglers,

Well my fellow anglers, I will have to bid you farewell until next time. For the final day of our seven day trip we gave the Yellowtail at the north end a try and they were not very user friendly. So, we ran off of the Island and had a couple of stops on the Albacore before we had to call it quits and head for home. The Alby's are a beautiful grade and it sure makes this Spring look promising. Actually with the sign of fish scattered between Guadalupe and the beach I would think that a 2 or 3 day trip could put a score together right now. And then you have the great fishing at Guadalupe, but the real kicker is that there are still giant Yellowfin down below Mag Bay. Jim Mitchell, a buddy of ours that fishes out of Cabo let us know that just the other day he landed a 288 pound Yellowfin and had hooked a couple of others. The fish show no signs of going anywhere for the winter. Whether it be Albacore offshore, 30 to 100 pound Yellowfin at Guadalupe, or the giants below Mag Bay, It's time to go fishing. One suggestion that I have for anyone going on a trip this winter is, make sure that you gear up properly. We could have used more 60 to 100 pound gear on this trip. This is a year for big fish, be ready and book your trips early. Once again, Merry Christmas to all. Mike Pritchard
