Hello Anglers,
Today was another fun filled day at Isl. de Guadalupe. With similar fishing as the day before, with the exception of some bigger ones. We had a good pick going on the fish in the 60 to 100 pound range with some of the bigger fish weighing in at 115 pounds. And of course there were some casualties. These big fish do mean things to you on 40 pound, a high speed reel and an 8 foot rod. (Not the right tackle) Some of our anglers stuck with the 60 pound all day, and all though it might take a little more finesse to get bit, it pays off big time. The norm after landing one of the nice one's on 40 pound was "that's the last time I'm going to do that". Check out the picture taken at night of Dave Chapman, he hooked that fish on 40 pound and an 8 foot rod while we were fishing smaller 30 to 40 pound fish at "Westy's". An hour later he had his rod on the rail, knees on the deck and a look of pain on his face. But, he did land it. Over all, we had another great day. And we will be here again today, the grade of the fish is simply to nice to leave. We ill check back in tomorrow. Mike Pritchard
