"We had a good morning with 110 yellowtail and 6 Tuna from 50 to 80 pounds," said the Red Rooster III's report for June 20. We had all the ammo for the tuna, it just doesn't seem like there is much there. Squid fishing was good last night and we had plenty of those. It didn't seem to buy us any more bites than the day before. We're happy with the day and heading up to Cedros. We are going to give it the day and then finish off in the Bluefin grounds. The weather is nice now after wind and rain most of the night and morning.
On June 21, the report said, "We had a very tough day, looking at fish and not getting bites. There was a long stretch of scattered fish. Things look hopeful for tomorrow morning. We made a 50-mile move and saw fish throughout our travels. Hopefully they come together and bite."
