Hello Anglers,

The past few days have been very eventful to say the least. The tuna seiner's here are ruthless and have no problem slapping their gear out right on our stern. Fortunately, the tuna fishing has turned on and we are scratching good at 140-240 pounders. Most of our business is done in the late afternoon when they move on the bank from the deep water. I can't say enough about the grade here, every single fish is a trophy. At this time, we have nine tuna over 200 pounds and several in the 190's. Here are some of the guys with cows: Ralph Mikkelsen 241#, Jerry King 205#, George Meigs 216#, Tony De Kruif 200#, Dennis Lau 216#, Jim Niemic 210#, Auggie Roberts 218# and 234#, Lawrence Quigley 222#, and Tim Turis with two fish at 199#'s. I apologize for not having any pictures yet, out photo shop is acting up again. I promise to continue to try and figure it out. Thanks for your patience. JUSTIN

Hello Anglers,

We are still headed south with calm seas and sunny skies. We will arrive at the bank tonight, hopefully catch all the flyers that we need, and go to battle tomorrow morning. The bank has been vacant for a few days so we have high hopes of good wahoo action on our first day. Today we will have our final seminar and make any last minute preparations that we need to. Wish us luck....... JUSTIN...... Read More

Hello Anglers,

We departed on the 4th for the annual 18 day Ralph Mikkelsen "Big Fish Special". We stopped at the bait receiver and took on a beautiful load of 6-8 inch sardine with some nice anchovy mixed in and cleared Point Loma around 1130. Weather yesterday was overcast and 10 knots of wind with a very nice ride. We have 23 anglers onboard with a nice mix of veterans and newcomers. We awoke this morning to another day of beautiful...... Read More
