Hello Anglers,
After catching the first 200 pounders of the season yesterday along with the other big ones we didn't think it would get much better. Well it did, our weather improved, and we landed all the fish we hooked today. The first drift was a really long one and we picked up five beautiful fish with the smallest being a 162 pound yellowfin caught by Art Jipping. The next fish bigger was a 183 pounder by Ger Seinburg followed by a 192 pounder for Jim Barker. The next two fish we were on for awhile and when they came to gaff we new why. Chiang chun got a 264 pound yellowfin and then louis Jimenez did one better with a 282 pound yellowfin that was really fat and may go bigger at the dock. After the first drift we found one school a few hours later that we picked up 3 more fish all in the 160 to 170 pound range along with 5 dorado over 30 pounds. We hooked 8 fish today and landed all of them and for the size of the fish we are dealing with that is pretty incredible. Tomorrow we are going to look offshore for some wahoo or tuna and work our way up the line. For any body that is coming out on future trips you should be prepared with a good 100 pound rod with a two speed reel for these brutes in case the opportunity to catch this size fish presents it's self again on future trips. And for anybody interested on going on a long range trip of 15 days or more we have two 15 day ride down\ride backs scheduled in January that still have a few spots left on them. We will check in tomorrow. Shawn and the crew

Hello Anglers,
Today was a tough day for us. we covered a lot of good water and tagged 6 big dorado. We saw good sign of nice sized tuna on some porpoise late in the evening but the couple of spots we saw would not bite. We are going to give this area one more day and try tomorrow to see if we can get the fish to cooperate. Wish us luck, we'll need it. Shawn and the crew ...... Read More
