Trout action is still going strong at Jess Ranch Lakes

Anglers enjoyed mild temperatures and light winds again this week. Trout action was good to very good with anglers using Power Bait
(especially salmon peach, garlic, and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Hot spots included the western shore of lake 3 as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake 2.
Catfish were biting on Power Bait, shrimp and mackerel on the western shore of lake 3 and the western shore of lake 2 with fish up to 4 pounds.
Post spawn bass action was excellent on both lakes with anglers using senkos, spinner bait and night crawlers. Hot spots were the northern shore of lake 2 near the bridge, southeastern shore of lake 2 near the wall and the western shore of lake 3 from the pump house to the bridge.
Bluegill are biting meal worms and small jigs with limits and fish up to 1 Lbs 8 Ozs. Hot spots for Bluegill include the southern and northern shore of lake 2.
