Pacific Queen weekend report & Upcoming Schedule

Bill Cavanaugh - Pacific Dawn
Hello Pacific Queen Anglers,
We had a great trip over the weekend. Although we were not able to cover as much water as we would of liked due to weather, we made the most of what we had to work with and we had fun. We started off offshore looking for kelp paddies were we captured one Yellowtail and 53 Bonita. The guys had a good time catching Bonita and since we caught all 53 out of two stops it reminded everyone of how much fun biting fish can be. It was a great way for everyone to knock off all the rust and get ready for a new year. Although we only had one Yellowtail we covered some really good water and we felt that with some good weather we will be catching fish offshore any day now. With a bad weather forecast we worked our way up towards the rockpile to finish off our day. We didn't see any remnants of what had happened earlier in the week with the Yellowtail, however the guys made the most of it and had fun catching Sculpin and other miscellaneous rock fish. We worked with the hand we were dealt and had a great trip.
With the American Angler catching a couple of Albacore at 230 miles in terrible weather we are very excited of whats to come. With good water conditions we should be offshore making catches in the near future. We have 1.5 day trips scheduled every weekend in June so get signed up and help us start off the offshore season.

5-30-2011Hi gang, We arrived back from our first offshore 1.5 day trip of the season on Sunday morning. Although I was unable to fish the area I would have liked because of weather, we made the most of what we had to work with. I started near the hidden bank at first light, worked to the southeast most of the morning, then worked north to fish the rock pile late in the afternoon. We ended up...... Read More

Hi gang, We have been putting the finishing touches on our remaining boat projects before the 2011 season gets into full swing. Both myself and captain Drew along with Mike Gibson and Mike Reynolds have worked very hard over the last month getting all of our systems fine tuned and our paint work complete. I must say, the boat is looking great. Our next trip is a 1.5 day trip that departs...... Read More
