Bishop Creek Fish Report 05-29-07

Salmon Eggs and nightcrawlers continue to be the best bet in the creek but the Berkeley natural powerworms are also producing. The South Fork of Bishop Creek was planted with Alpers trophy rainbow trout on May 25th so the next week should provide great action on the larger fish to 5lbs. The biggest fish weighed in at Parchers Resort this week was a 4lb 12oz rainbow pulled from the creek by Dough De La Garza of San Juan Capistrano on a nightcrawler. Paired with his 4lb 1oz Alper he caught out of the South Lake, it's safe to say that Doug had one heck of a week here in the Bishop Creek Canyon. Another notable catch was a beautifully colored 1lb 12oz fish caught by young Daniel Roberts of West Hills, CA on a salmon egg.

South Lake Boat Landing will have the entire fleet of aluminum fishing boats on...... Read More
