Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (121610)

Royal Polaris Crew
MAKING THE CUT (121610)!!! There aren't many fishing trips taken anywhere in the world where a Tuna under 130 pounds is snipped off for not being big enough. That's exactly what is happening here on the RP today and for the foreseeable future. The RSW well is maybe a third full after today and since the fishing continued to be outstanding it would have been half or better with out the cut offs. Jim Mitchell who has been hot all trip got the standout of the day, a 208 which is his second over 200 this trip. Bob Garber the most senior citizen on board got a 180 proving you only get better with age. Two more days of fishing and if it holds out we'll come back plugged. For now 130 is the magic number to keep a fish. Let's hope that number goes even higher before we're done. Happy Birthday to Eddie a long time crew member on the RP. That's about all I can say for now, it's a great trip and every one is having an absolute ball out here!
POEM OF THE DAY:
The aquarium exhibit is super
Especially the display with the Grouper
We owe special thanks
To the guy who cleans tanks
The Grouper pooper scooper.
Nothing much more to add to that report. Today went about as good as we could have expected for what we have seen since we've been here. One fish over 200 pounds, a few fish around 180 and the overall grade of fish we caught today was bigger. The better fishing took place just after 1300 hours today and we had steady action till dark with 2 to 6 fish hooked up all the time. The weather remains as good as you could ask for. We have high hopes that today was a sign of things to come for the remainder of our trip. Wish us luck. The Royal Polaris crew: Roy, Jim, Eddie, Bill, Travis, Kenny, Anthony, and Brett
